WICKHAM MARKET PARISH ENVIRONMENT GROUP

Our village; landscape, trees, people and wildlife

We are an informal voluntary group working to enhance our Parish and village landscape and its biodiversity

Call Anne Westover on 01728 747689 to register your interest.

With our Parish Tree Warden and through our 'Green Gym' events, we plant young trees, wild flowers and hedges around the village lanes, footpaths, cemetery, and open spaces.

In 2012 our project was shortlisted for the Greenest County Community Award. We have received support and funding from the Co-op, District Council, Parish Council, individuals and the Outreach Fund for tools, trees and snowdrops.

There are lots of ways you can help - growing trees, nest box making, monitoring wildlife, sharing ideas for projects, small donations, publicity, getting stuck in at a 'Green Gym' event or helping with small tasks around the village. There is always more to do and we would love to see people of all ages get involved in small ways to celebrate our environment.
