Wickham Market is a friendly, thriving village community of around 2100 residents. We are uniquely placed in a semi rural setting, just a mile from the A12 and a 20 minute drive to the beautiful Suffolk coast, yet only half an hour from Ipswich, 90 minutes by train from London and we are well served by public transport. There is a regular bus service from the centre of the village and the train station is just two miles away. 

 

We have our own primary school, medical centre, dentist, archive centre, library and resource centre. With independent shops, cafes, food outlets, a church, village hall and holiday accomodation plus numerous social groups and sporting clubs, Wickham Market is a great place to live, grow a business or visit.

 

Our historic market square (known as The Hill) is the location of regular markets and the village has plentiful pay-and-display parking plus public toilets.

 

Our community pub, The George, is presently being restored and will open during 2025.
